Pre-K (4 years to 5 years old)

In our Pre K classroom your child will gain the knowledge and building blocks for Kindergarten. In our Pre K curriculum we practice writing letters, learn small math skills, and train up our self-help skills, such as  putting our own clothing and talking through our problems to solve them. This program is designed around  making sure your child has exposure to different activities that will help them thrive in kindergarten.

Stimulating the Senses

Each day your child will be exposed to a sensory activity through our sensory table or with our art area. We believe that when children are able to create and explore with different materials they are able to think outside the box which leads to overall cognitive development.

Reading throughout the day

We read to your child multiple times throughout the day. This helps them recognize the letters in a story and words on a page. It also helps them learn how to read a story by going from top to bottom and left to right.

Writing skills

Throughout the day your child will have opportunities to write letters and make pictures. We encourage your child to write their own names and other small words that we are able to sound out together.

Reasoning and Problem solving skills

During this stage your child is bound to have conflicts throughout the day and those conflicts can vary between an issue with another child or they are just not ready to work out the problem. Communicating with other people about how they are feeling is am important skill for relationships.
